  • 6. Is your curriculum aligned with the MOE syllabus?
Yes, TWC’s curriculum is aligned with the MOE syllabus in Singapore for all our tuition and enrichment programmes. Our in-house curriculum team is led by Ms Rachel Gibson, a graduate of Oxford University with extensive experience in education. She has collaborated with leading publishing houses to create high-quality educational resources and textbooks, including those used in Singapore’s MOE schools. With our in-house curriculum team’s deep expertise and innovative approach, we ensure that The Write Connection’s curriculum is rigorous, relevant and effective for all students.
  • 7. Are there any assessments or tests in class?
Yes, formal tests are conducted for our English Tuition and Critical Reading & Writing programmes. Our Writing Enrichment programme does not include formal tests, but every four weeks students write timed compositions independently so teachers can assess their true writing ability under exam conditions.
  • 8. Is your secondary school programme beneficial for Integrated Programme (IP) students?
Yes, our Critical Reading & Writing programme will benefit IP students! However, as the programme is tailored for students preparing for the O-Level examination, there may be occasional components—such as situational writing—that are not directly examinable for most IP students. That said, the programme remains highly relevant and supportive for IP students. It helps students build invaluable general knowledge and develops key skills necessary for A-Level, including non-narrative writing and summary writing. IP students also benefit from focused development in comprehension, written and spoken communication, and language analysis. If your child is in the IP stream, please do inform our friendly front desk team and your child’s teacher. We’d be happy to take note and strategise to support your child as much as possible.
  • 9. Do you offer subjects other than English at The Write Connection?
In addition to its renowned English enrichment courses, The Write Connection (TWC) is proud to have MetaQuest (MQ) as its sister brand. MQ specialises in Science tuition and enrichment for Primary 3 to 6 students, providing an interactive and skill-focused curriculum. Real experiments and hands-on activities are conducted for every single topic, forming a regular and integral part of our learning cycle. These are what our students love and eagerly look forward to each time we begin a new topic. The traditional way of teaching Science through endless worksheets and practice papers often dampens a student’s enthusiasm for the subject. By putting the fun back into Science learning, MQ’s experiment-based pedagogy has reignited many students’ love for the subject and helped them achieve excellent results. With MQ’s highly effective pedagogy and curriculum, many students experience real breakthroughs in their performance—it’s not uncommon to see multiple grade jumps, even after just one term. Together, TWC and MQ offer a comprehensive learning experience that supports both language and Science development, helping students excel academically while building critical life skills.
